Year 4 homework 11.09.17

Hello Y4 children and parents, we are really looking forward to working with you this year.  If there is anything we can help with, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Today, your child has been given a homework folder, homework diary, reading diary, spelling book and their first homework sheets and spellings.  Homework will be handed in, given out and diaries checked every Monday.  We hope that this will help the children with their organisation.

In terms of homework for this week:

Spellings: please learn the spellings which use the prefixes ‘mis’, ‘dis’ and ‘in’. These can be found in your child’s spelling book or on spellanywhere. Spellings will be tested on Monday 18th.

English: complete the reading comprehension ‘back to school’, to be handed in on Monday 18th.

Maths: complete the place value sheet, to be handed in on Monday 18th.

Reading: please ensure that you read three times a week and that this is recorded in the reading diary. This will be checked on Monday 18th.

There will be rewards for children who remember to get their homework diary and reading diary signed and those that learn their spellings and complete homework on time.

Thanks for your support with this,

Miss Peck and Miss Acris

Additional note: Any children interested in representing their class in school council this year, are invited to write a short speech explaining why they should be chosen. This will be shared on Monday.
