Year 1 homework – 29th November

This week’s homework is as follows:

Spellings – The oo/oo words will be tested on Monday 4th December. These spellings can also be found on the school website by clicking on Pupils -> Spellings -> Year 1.

Reading – Please ensure your child is reading at least three times per week. This can be one of the books sent home or a book on Bug Club.

Phonics – This week we would like the children to complete a phonics worksheet. This worksheet requires the children to ‘sound button’ the words (see the example using the word rain) and count the number of real or nonsense words.

Please may we also remind you of a few upcoming events:

Whole school trip to the Garrick – This visit will take place on Thursday 14th December. Please return your child’s consent slip to school as soon as possible.

KS1 Christmas production – This will take place on the mornings of Tuesday 12th December and Wednesday 13th December. Your child is now more than welcome to bring in their costume for this performance. Please ensure it is placed in a named bag.

Thank you for your continued support.

Best wishes,

Mr Storer and Miss Faulkner
