This week the children have been working really hard, adding two digit numbers. Their homework activity is to represent the number using base ten then add. We have included an example to help explain. Please encourage your child to represent the numbers first as this will enable their fluidity with the numbers when they move on to more formal methods of addition and subtraction.
The class times table is x 10 this week. Maths passports will be completed on Wednesday, the children will again have their individual target sheets to practise at home.
Thank you for your support with home reading, your comments are so very useful to us. Spellings are available in red books as well as on Spell Anywhere.
We’re looking forward to seeing everyone at the upcoming Parents evening, please ensure all slips are returned by Friday.
