Year 1 homework – 8th November

Welcome back! We hope you all had a lovely half term break.

The children’s homework is as follows:

Reading – Please ensure your child is reading at least three times per week. A written general comment in their yellow diary would be greatly appreciated. This comment should centre on how your child has read in relation to their target(s).

Spellings – The ng and nk words have been stuck into the children’s spelling books and are also available on Spell Anywhere. This can be accessed by selecting Pupils -> Spellings -> Year 1 on the home page of the school website. These spellings will be tested on Monday 12th November.

Maths – We will be handing out a worksheet based on partitioning tomorrow (Friday 9th November). This worksheet should be completed and returned to school by the following Friday.

Finally, please may we remind you that our Year 1 Maths workshop is due to take place tomorrow at 9am. We look forward to welcoming you to participate in a ‘lesson’ with your child.

Thank you for your continued support.

Best wishes,

Mr Storer and Miss Faulkner
