Year 1 homework – 29th November

This week’s homework is as follows:

Reading – Please ensure your child is reading at least three times per week. A written general comment in their yellow diary would be greatly appreciated. This comment should centre on how your child has read in relation to their target(s).

Spellings – The oi/oy words have been stuck into the children’s spelling books and are also available on Spell Anywhere. This can be accessed by selecting Pupils -> Spellings -> Year 1 on the home page of the school website. These spellings will be tested on Monday 3rd December.

Reading comprehension – We will be handing out a reading comprehension worksheet on Friday. This is due in for the following Friday.

Please may we again remind you that we have now handed out information about your child’s costume for the upcoming Christmas production. This should be brought into school by Monday 10th December at the very latest.

Finally, we will be visiting Lichfield Garrick on Thursday 13th December and your child’s consent slip should be sent into school as soon as possible.

Thank you for your continued support.

Best wishes,

Mr Storer and Miss Faulkner
