Year 3 homework 1st February 2016

This week our homework focus is Literacy, in particular the use of subordinate and main clauses within sentences.  The main clause makes sense by itself, whereas the subordinate clauses depends on the main clause for sense. Please complete the sheet with you child. We would also be very grateful, if you could  spend  a little time when reading together,  identifying and discussing clauses within their home reading books. There are more examples of clauses on the grammar terminology sheet that was sent home from the reading workshop.

In addition to this, the children have their spellings and to practise the 4 times table for the test on Monday. As well as reading three times this week and learning their individual passport target.

We look forward to seeing you at Parents evening on Thursday.

Kind regards

Mrs Hawkes and Mr Moore.
