Year Six – week beginning 13/7/20

Our last week together Year Six at Little Sutton! We are so proud of you and hopefully will see as many of you as possible on Friday for your last day if you are able to come back. This week our focus is on your transition to secondary school and to help you prepare for this move. As a result, although you still have access to spellings, My Maths, Education City, TT Rockstars and Bug Club, it is up to you how you organise your time. There are links below to the different activities and units for you to use.

On Wednesday,  will be having a zoom meeting with our Year Two buddies on at 11am. If anyone would like to join in with this at home, please can you email for the invitation by Tuesday 14th July at 1pm with your child’s name and class.

Unfortunately, due to the current situation, we do not feel that we can safely allow the children to sign their shirts at the end of term. Therefore we would like to arrange for all the children to write a short message to be included in one document for the year group. Please can anyone at home send in a copy of a message to be included by Tuesday 14th July at 1pm. This can be a photo of a written message or include what you would like them to say in the email and we can copy and paste it in.

On Friday 17th July, we are inviting all of Year Six to come back to school to celebrate their final day of their time at Little Sutton Primary School. We will be asking the children who have already been in school to come in at their normal time and the children, if they choose to come in, who haven’t yet been back in school need to return at 9.05am through the multi media doors. A member of staff will be able to direct them to the correct classroom. During the morning, the children will have their base in a Year Five or Year Six classroom but each class will spend time together, socially distanced, in the hall and outside, weather permitting, for a range of activities.

At 12.30 we will be inviting parents to join us on the playground, weather permitting, to join their children to listen to Mrs Davis’ speech at 12.40 before we wish them well and on their way. We anticipate to finish by 1pm so if parents are unable to attend, the children will be leaving school or will need to be collected at 1pm. If anyone has any questions, please feel free to contact us on the following email addresses:

We will be asking the children to wear their own clothes and also will be taking lots of pictures of the children which we will then be sharing on twitter. If you do not wish for your child’s photos to appear on Twitter, please can you email and notify us by Wednesday 15th July by 4pm.

We hope to make our last week at school a fun one and we’re hoping to create lots of memories for them to cherish. If you have any queries at all, please do not hesitate to get in touch. Thank you for all of your continued support and loveliness and we wish you all the best. Take care,

The Year Six Team x
