Year 5: Week beginning 19.04.21

Welcome back! We hope you had a wonderful Easter break and managed to get out and enjoy some of the sunshine. We are really looking forward to welcoming you back on Monday and hearing all about what you have been up to. Please remember to bring your handwriting book into school with you if you haven’t done so already. Also, for those of you doing Bikeability, make sure you have your bikes, helmets and change of clothes in school on your days.

Your homework for this week is as follows:

Spellings – This week we are focusing on spellings using ‘ei’ – don’t forget to practice your spellings for your test on Monday 26th.

English – Reading comprehension

Maths – Decimals worksheet

Please bring these sheets back into school on Tuesday 27th April – remember, if you need another sheet, don’t forget to ask and we can get one for you!

Geography – Please complete the map for Mere Green – take a walk around Mere Green and see how many buildings you can name/locate. This is not due in until Friday 7th May.

Reading – Don’t forget to be reading 3 times a week for half an hour and make sure that you are recording what you are reading into your reading challenge. It will also be useful to remember to bring this book into school every day too.

For science next week (Tuesday 27th April), please can you bring in a flower for our lesson. A daffodil would be perfect for this, but a tulip also works. You only need one as we are going to dissect the flower to investigate the different parts.
