Year 1 update – 9th December

Hi parents,

Year 1’s homework for this week is as follows:

Spellings – This week’s spellings are:

six, seven, eight, nine, ten

These spellings will be tested on Monday 13th December. They are also available to practise on our new spelling programme – School Jotter: School Jotter – Dashboard (schooljotter2.com)

Please ensure that your child’s spelling book is sent in every week to complete the test.

Reading – Please ensure that your child is reading regularly and that a comment is recorded in their reading records. This is extremely important as it enables us to determine which children are definitely reading at home. Thank you.

Year 1 nativity performance – Thank you very much for attending our nativity shows. The children were absolutely brilliant and loved performing in front of you all. Thank you again for your support with their costumes – it is very much appreciated.

Named carrier bag – Please can all children bring in a named carrier bag by no later than next Wednesday 15th December. This will make it much easier for us to send home Christmas related items!

Christmas party day – This will be taking place on the last day of term – Friday 17th December. The children are invited to come to school wearing party clothes.

Thank you for your continued support.

Mr Storer and Mrs Johnston
