What superstars – the children have done so well this week with their SATs and we are so proud of how hard they have worked.
Remember, we are having a meeting for parents at 8.30am in Y6EW on Tuesday (17th) about the upcoming residential. If parents are unable to attend, we will send all of the relevant information home.
Next week we are having a focus on healthy lifestyles so if there is any reading you would like to do with this over the weekend you are more than welcome to.
Also, we would like you to complete a food diary for next week – if you lose your copy, there is another one below.
For next Friday, we will be conducting an experiment into the effect of exercise on the children’s heart rate. We would like the children to practise taking their heart rate at home and would also like them to measure their resting heart rate at home, to bring into school. We will go through this in class.
Week beginning 23rd May is going to be Arts week in school and for this the children will need to bring in any biodegradable items from nature that could be used to embellish a clay sculpture, e.g. leaves, sticks, small stones, feathers.
Finally, also for that week, we would like the children to participate in a photography competition. The them of the competition is beauty in nature. Examples have been shared in class and we would like them to bring in a paper copy of their chosen image by Wednesday 25th so these can be displayed in class.
Once more, well done for all of your hard work this week – have a great weekend.
The Y6 team
