Year 2 – Week Beginning 19.9.2022

In maths this week we will be deepening our knowledge of place value and partitioning numbers into tens and ones. We will be using deines to represent two-digit numbers and explaining our thinking when digits move place, using our new knowledge of place value. We will also be using our knowledge of the commutative law to help us to write number sentences for each representation.

In English, we will be continuing our work on the story of Pip and Egg by Alex Latimer and David Litchfield. We will be focusing upon identifying word classes and creating our own expanded noun phrases.

Please check the website each week for homework and further updates.
