We have a very busy week ahead in Reception – even busier than normal!
This week, we will continue to practise our Christmas Performance so that we are ready for ‘Lights, Camera, Action’ on Thursday! The children are doing so well and we are very proud of them all for trying so hard with their singing, actions and spoken lines. You are all in for a treat, when we release our performance for you all to watch! Thank you so much for the wonderful costumes in such trying circumstances – the children are going to look fantastic! These will be returned at the end of the week. Please follow the latest guidance regarding quarantining/washing items.
During Phonics this week, we will be introducing the sounds: ch, sh, th and ng. These are all digraphs – one sound represented by two letters. Our words will be: that, this, then and they.
Our Rhyme of the Week will be: Hey Diddle Diddle.
Later in the week, we will be trying to find somewhere magical to post the letters we wrote last week to Father Christmas. Fingers crossed, we find a magical spot! There might also be a rather special Zoom call on Friday!
Friday 11th December – Christmas Jumper Day (YR Children do not need to wear PE kits today). Please see school newsletter for further information.
Friday 18th December – Christmas Party Day! The children may wear their own suitable party clothes for our Christmas celebrations, no need for PE kits again today! Break up for Christmas!
