Year Six Home Learning – Week beginning 22/2/21

We hope you are keeping safe and well and also a huge well done – we’ve made it! What a fantastic half term we have had! Thank you so much for all your hard work, determination and loveliness – we are incredibly proud of you all and you really have been superstars.

All resources for Week 1 beginning 22.02.21 will be saved in the team files section, some of which you may find useful to print but this is not essential as the documents can be viewed and accessed on screen. There is a timetable, which is also attached below, and this can also be found on Teams. Any reminders or information needed we will share with you as a post in your class Team or maths Team section.

You most certainly deserve a well earned rest and break over half term. Make sure you take time to relax and enjoy yourselves, and where possible spend time away from your screens.  The weather forecast at the moment isn’t looking too bad – try and make time for plenty of fresh air too.

We are going to be continuing with group reading sessions after half term too – each day we will read with one group during quiet reading for enjoyment time at 9-930 from the Tuesday. There will be a timetable in our class teams files sections so the children know which day their group will read with the teacher and any reading they need to do in preparation.

Also, please do continue to share completed work; it is so lovely to receive. You can continue to do this either as an assignment in Teams where it has been set or by emailing into the email addresses as appropriate below. Any problems too please do get in contact using these also. We are really looking forward to reading your poems.

Spellings can be accessed on Spell Anywhere as well as our Teams area.

Resources needed for next week’s lessons which aren’t already in your packs are:

  • dictionary (physical or online version)
  • maths sheets (in Teams files)
  • plain A4 paper
  • colouring pencils or felt pens

If you encounter a problem with resources, please let us know as soon as possible.

Thank you for all your support again this week, and over the whole half term- it is very much appreciated and just shows what an amazing team we are.

Kind regards,

The Year Six Team (for Mrs Murphy) (for Mrs Whittaker) (for Mrs Stratfull)
